Get set for your Southern Alps aerial tour
Meet your pilot at the Aoraki Mount Cook Airport after getting picked up from your hotel. As you board the retractable ski aircraft or helicopter, your pilot will provide you with a safety briefing and a radio headset. Enjoy the pilot's informative commentary during your flight.
Feast your eyes on the beauty of the Glaciers
View the towering Southern Alps as you take off. As you cross the Main Divide to the West Coast, see the stunning Fox and Franz Josef Glaciers. View the snow-capped peaks of the Tasman Glacier as you continue north along the Tasman Sea. Fly over Aoraki Mount Cook National Park and along the Tasman Valley and look down to see the Hochstetter Icefall, the Grand Plateau, Mount Tasman, and Mount Sefton. After passing the east face of Aoraki Mt. Cook, descend over Tasman Terminal Lake.
Have fun in the snow!
Enjoy the snow with two glacier snow landings either at Fox, Franz Josef, or Tasman Glaciers. Experience the quiet solitude of these alpine environments as your aircraft completely shuts down. Once done, board your plane or helicopter, fly back to the airport, and then get dropped off at your hotel.
