Ishigaki Yaima Village is located on a hill overlooking Ishigaki Island's scenic Nagura Bay. It is a theme park at the southernmost tip of Japan, recreating traditional Yaeyama houses against a backdrop of lush nature. The village features a water buffalo pond, a Crested Serpent Eagle protection cage, and a squirrel monkey park where visitors can feed the adorable squirrel monkeys.
You can observe rare flora and fauna on the tour of Nagura Ampar, registered under the Ramsar Convention in 2005. After a stroll around the village, take a break at Amparu Shokudo at Nagura Drive-In to enjoy delicious local cuisine and shopping.
Shisa Coloring Experience: Use quick-drying acrylic paints to color a bisque shisa. The color and expression of your original shisa are up to you! Everyone from small children to adults can enjoy this experience, and since we use quick-drying acrylic paints, you can take it home on the day.
