Your Experience

Start your bicycle ride along the Douro River

Before you begin, meet your guide, take your bikes, and enjoy your ride from the city center to the beach area. On this 3-hour guided riverside bike tour, discover why Porto is also known as The City of Bridges. It is also a great chance to see the traditional and iconic Portuguese boats known as "Rabelo," which used to transport people and goods along the Douro River for centuries. Ride by the Ribeira, one of the city's oldest neighborhoods. Next, pass through Miragaia, the second-oldest neighborhood. It is still one of the most traditional areas, with small alleys and colorful houses. Ride by the Alfandega Congress Center and see the old Customs House.

Enjoy as you pass by the fishing villages

Ride to Marina da Afurada and the Afurada Fishing Village. Afurada, along with Mafamude and Santa Marinha, are Gaia's three old urban parishes. The village is famous for the feast of S. Pedro da Afurada linked to fishing traditions. Continue your serene tour as you pass by Ponte da Arrábida, built in 1963 as an alternative connection between Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia. Watch the sunset as you pass through Porto Calem, a small garden space near the parish of Lordelo do Ouro, near the mouth of the Douro River. Stop by for a coffee break. Pass by the Foz Castle and the Cheese Castle. Ride past the Parque da Cidade and the City Park. The City Park is Portugal's largest urban park, spanning 83 hectares and stretching to the Atlantic Ocean.
