Ticket Delivery

  • Physical ticket can be procured at major JR-WEST Ticket Office and green ticket-vending machines with your online ticket & non-Japanese passport along with Temporary Visitor Stamp.

  • If the machine breaks down or the passport has no IC chip, please proceed to JR-WEST Ticket Office to exchange the physical ticket.

Exchanging Reserved Seat Tickets

  • Before getting on the train, please go to the green ticket-vending machines and pick up physical reserved seat tickets by the area pass.

Seat Reservation Process

  • Reservations can be made at the ticket office through rail staff.

  • You can only select your seat after turning in your Exchange Order for the JR Pass.

Booking FAQs

This pass is only Valid only for non-Japanese passport holders with a "Temporary Visitor" Visa stamp on the passport. Non-Japanese passport holders with permanent residence in Japan cannot use this pass. The pass is valid for the pass holder only. Please carry your passport along while traveling using the Area Pass.
