Getting started

Meet your guide in front of the wooden door at Týnská 627/7, behind Týn Cathedral near Old Town Square. Arrive at least 10 minutes before your scheduled departure before setting off on your 3-hour walking tour.

What to expect

  • Begin around Old Town Square before heading along Paris Avenue toward the Old-New Synagogue. Here, your guide introduces Prague’s alchemical past and the legend of the Golem, said to have protected the city’s former Jewish Ghetto.

  • Continue toward Mánes Bridge, learning how astrology and esoteric beliefs influenced Prague during the reign of Charles IV. From here, take in views across the river toward Prague Castle and Charles Bridge.

  • Castle District

  • Ride a tram uphill toward Hradčany, with the tram fare purchased separately. Pass the statues of astronomers Tycho Brahe and Johannes Kepler before continuing through the Castle District.

  • Stop around Strahov Monastery to hear the tale of the Devil’s Bible, then continue past Prague Loreto, Černín Palace, the Hole to Hell, and the tucked-away streets of New World.

  • Prague Castle

  • Enter the castle grounds after dark and explore its exterior spaces with your guide. Learn about symbols and legends connected to St. Vitus Cathedral before walking through Golden Lane and past the White Tower and Daliborka.

  • No attraction interiors are entered during this tour. Continue toward St. Wenceslas Vineyard for elevated views over Prague before the experience concludes in the Lesser Town area.
