The Archaeological Museum at Ratnagiri stands on the northern crest of Ratnagiri hill, between the Brahmani and Birupa rivers in Jajpur District, Odisha, about 97 km from Bhubaneswar. It houses Buddhist antiquities dated from the 5th to 13th century CE, recovered through ASI excavations conducted between 1958-61 under Dr. Debala Mitra and further excavations from 1997-2004.
The museum's four galleries display stone Buddha images, figures of Avalokitesvara, Manjusri and Tara (9th-11th century), Bodhisattva sculptures and a colossal Buddha head, stupas and Maitreya images alongside Hindu deity sculptures such as Durga and Vaishnavi found at the site, plus terracotta seals, ivory objects, copper plates and bronze Manjushri and Yamari figures.
