The Archaeological Site Museum at Gwalior stands near the Hathi Pol gate of Gwalior Fort and is managed by the Archaeological Survey of India. It comprises a large rectangular hall, an adjoining chamber and two verandahs that together display a varied collection of antiquities gathered from Gwalior and the surrounding countryside.
The sculptures on display range in date from the 1st century BC through the 17th century AD, offering visitors a chronological view of the region's artistic and religious traditions before or after they tour the fort's palaces and temples.
