Getting started
Begin with pickup from selected hotels in Bayahibe and Dominicus using the included round-trip transfers. Safety equipment for the buggy activity is handed out, and you are assigned your double buggy, set up for 2 people per buggy, before heading out.
What to expect
Bayahibe double buggy adventure
This off-road double buggy guided ride takes you from Bayahibe into the Dominican countryside on dirt roads and jungle paths. Across the route, you move between muddy sections, rural landscapes, and a river stop, all in one continuous drive.
Features
- Your vehicle is a double buggy, 2 people per buggy, so you share the drive and the experience side by side as you follow your professional guide in convoy.
- Before setting off, a safety briefing before the buggy ride explains how to operate the buggy and how to handle off-road conditions, and safety equipment for the buggy activity is provided.
- The route focuses on off-road driving on muddy jungle trails, where you pass through tropical vegetation and splash through puddles for a more intense terrain experience.
- You also travel along Dominican countryside roads and landscapes, where you see rural scenery and traditional countryside areas away from resort zones.
- Midway, there is a Chavón River stop for swimming, giving you time to cool off in the river before returning to the trail.
- Throughout the excursion, an expert guide leads the group, keeps the pace, and coordinates the itinerary from departure to return.
- Hotel pickup and drop-off are covered by round-trip transfers, so transport between your accommodation in Bayahibe or Dominicus and the buggy base is included in the experience.
