Start your visit at the cave museum, where you can explore the geology of the Beatus Caves system and learn about scientific findings through an audio guide available in English, German, and French. You'll then start a roughly one-hour circular route that involves 297 steps and climbs 87 metres in altitude.
You will walk about a kilometre through Switzerland's largest caves, admiring illuminated stalactite formations as you follow streams and waterfalls. The unique atmosphere inside is complemented by grottos, ravines, and halls. Along the way, 25 information boards in English and German provide insights into your surroundings.
The caves maintain a constant temperature between 8 and 10°C, with damp stairs and paths. The route is not suitable for wheelchair users or strollers, and dog tickets can only be purchased onsite. Additionally, you can use the free "Saint Beatus" app to enhance your experience.
