Children between the ages of 6 and 14 can travel free on an adult’s ticket (3 kids per adult ticket). Any number of children below 6 years of age can travel on public transport for free. Note that the AB fare zone covers Berlin’s urban area and the ABC zone covers Berlin, the surrounding areas, Potsdam, and BER Airport. You cannot extend the Berlin WelcomeCard AB fare zone ticket by adding a single connection ticket for the C fare zone.
