Welcome to your 2-hour adventure aboard the Boomerang Pirate Ship! Meet us at Georgetown Waterfront in Washington, DC. This exclusive experience is for those aged 21 and over.

Our 21+ adult party cruise aboard the Boomerang Pirate Ship promises an memorable experience. Soak in Washington DC’s famous cityscape from our open-air decks or enjoy a variety of beverages at the Grog House. Escape to the top deck for some sunshine or moonlight cruising with friends and grog.
We encourage mingling between starboard and portside, meeting new people, and enjoying every moment!

- Can I buy a ticket at check-in on the dock? Piracy is serious business! The Boomerang usually sells out in advance, so plan ahead.
- What if someone misses the boat? Can we return to pick them up? We depart promptly and cannot go back for anyone who missed boarding.
- Can you describe the layout of the boat? The Boomerang features a spacious open floor plan with two levels, an enclosed bar, and bathroom area. Remember, on a pirate ship, bathrooms are called ‘heads’!
- Are there restrooms available? Yes! We have two 'heads' onboard.
- Can outside food be brought aboard? While we love a good meal, passengers cannot bring their own. Pre-packaged snacks are provided at no extra cost.
- Is bringing personal alcohol allowed? No. We offer a full open bar with grog and spirits onboard.
- What is the age requirement for cruising? Riders must be 21 years or older, with valid ID. Underage guests can join on Sundays' treasure hunt cruises or charter the ship privately.
- Do I need to dress like a pirate? Not at all! We welcome everyone – land lubbers, scurvy dogs, buccaneers, wenches, and more. Just be yourself!
- What if it rains during the cruise? Be prepared for any weather with appropriate attire. Bring an umbrella or raincoat if needed.
- How do we handle severe weather forecasts? If severe weather is predicted, cruises may be canceled and ticket holders notified via email and text. A gift certificate will be issued for future use.
- If severe weather occurs during the cruise, what happens? The captain might return to dock if conditions worsen. If you experience less than half of your cruise due to this decision, a gift certificate is offered.
- How long does the cruise last? Enjoy 2 hours on board.
- Where do we board? Boarding takes place at Georgetown Waterfront. Directions will be provided with your tickets.
- Is parking available near the dock? Several garages are within walking distance, but consider taking a cab for convenience as there's no metro stop nearby.
- Is the boat Coast Guard certified? Yes, safety is our top priority. The Boomerang Boat complies with U.S. Coast Guard regulations and has security measures in place to ensure everyone’s well-being.
- Can I smoke on board? Smoking of any kind, including e-cigarettes or vapor pens, is not permitted.
- Is this a tour boat with stops? No! We keep the party going as we cruise past historic sights along the DC harbor without making stops.
- Which historical sites will I see? Expect views of Georgetown waterfront, boathouse and University, Watergate, Kennedy Center, Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, Jefferson Memorial, Pentagon, Tidal Basin entrance, Hains Point, Custis Lee Memorial, Key Bridge, and the Memorial Bridge.
- Will I get seasick? Unlikely. The Potomac River is typically calm and narrow.

About the Vessel
The Boomerang Pirate Ship was custom-built in 2013 to meet U.S. Coast Guard standards for Potomac River use. Equipped with life-saving gear, including life jackets and rings, our captains are highly experienced. Onboard amenities include two restrooms, a bar, and a professional sound system offering diverse music.
