Booking FAQs

Footwear: Sneakers best; sandals okay, but beware of rocky terrain. Clothing: Wear light, comfy clothes. Avoid long dresses during the rainy season. What to pack: Sunscreen, bug spray, hat, water bottle, sunglasses

Strollers are not allowed. Paths are rocky. Use baby carriers instead.

You can take photos with the elephants, but just give your mahout (elephant handler) a heads-up first. They’ll guide you safely and let you know where and when it’s okay to snap pictures! Free hotel transfers are available from 12 major areas, including Patong, Kata, and Karon, while pickups from Mai Khao, Naiyang, Naithon, and Layan cost extra, and Ao Por Pier has a private van surcharge. Please note: This is an ethical, no-riding elephant sanctuary where all elephants are lovingly cared for by a team of experts, ensuring regular health checks, nutritious diets, and freedom to roam in a safe, natural environment.
