Booking FAQs

Wear comfortable walking shoes with good support, as paths range from uneven stone steps to dusty valley trails and underground tunnels. Bring a light layer, since temperatures can shift noticeably between open viewpoints, shaded valleys, and underground cities throughout the day. Carry sun protection such as a hat or sunscreen, especially for exposed valley stops where shade is limited even outside peak summer. Keep a small backpack rather than a large bag, which makes moving through narrow underground passages and village paths much easier. This route is less touristy overall, so having small cash is useful for village stops where card payments may not be accepted.

Large backpacks or bulky bags are not recommended, as narrow underground passages and tight spaces make them difficult to carry. Flash photography is not allowed inside cave churches and underground cities. Drones are not permitted at archaeological sites or valleys without official permission, even for personal use. Smoking is not allowed inside vehicles, underground cities, or protected historical areas during the tour. Pets are not allowed on the tour, as several locations involve confined spaces and protected heritage areas.

This experience is not wheelchair accessible due to uneven terrain, stairs, and narrow passages at several sites. Several stops include low-ceiling underground passages with limited airflow, making them unsuitable for visitors with claustrophobia and respiratory conditions.

Hotel pick-up and drop-off are included for local hotels in Cappadocia; please confirm your hotel details at the time of booking. Ihlara Valley sections vary by season; in spring, paths may be damp near the river, while in summer they’re dusty rather than muddy. The order of stops may vary on the day to avoid crowds or weather-related delays.
