Your adventure begins with a pick-up from your hotel in Fairbanks. Your driver gathers everyone to head towards Chena Hot Springs Resort. As you settle into the vehicle, enjoy round-trip transportation out of Fairbanks and onto the resort's scenic route.
Chena Hot Springs
Located in Alaska’s subarctic landscape, Chena Hot Springs is a mineral springs resort offering soaking, exploration, and insights into geothermal energy use. Your visit includes access to these facilities following resort guidelines.
- Access: Included with your ticket for using the hot springs' indoor and outdoor pools (children under 18 are not allowed in the rock pool but can enjoy the indoor pool with supervision).
- Outdoor Pool Temperature: Can reach up to 106°F (41°C). Not recommended for those with heart conditions or other heat-sensitive medical issues. No lifeguard is present, so you enter at your own risk.
- Geothermal Energy Tour: Part of the visit provides a closer look at how geothermal resources are harnessed in this subarctic environment.
Aurora Ice Museum
The Aurora Ice Museum features ice art within an indoor setting, integral to both daytime and evening itineraries. Entry is included as part of your guided tour experience at the resort.

- Included Time: The museum visit is incorporated into both daytime and evening options, depending on your choice.

Northern Lights Viewing Segment
The evening itinerary includes a dedicated Northern Lights viewing segment, contingent on weather conditions and aurora activity.
- Included Experience: The Evening Guided Tour with Aurora Viewing and Hot Springs offers structured time for observing the auroras.
- Clothing Recommendations: Warm layers and insulated footwear are advised due to subarctic temperatures during viewing.
- Tour Requirements: A minimum of four guests is needed, with pets not permitted at any point in the tour.
Round-trip Transportation
Your transportation from Fairbanks to Chena Hot Springs and back frames your guided experience. This includes pick-ups within city limits but excludes Airbnb accommodations unless arranged directly with the operator.
- Included Transport: Round-trip transport is included for guests staying in hotels, excluding Airbnbs without prior arrangements.
- Pick-up Timeframe: Pick-ups start between 9:00 am and 9:30 am. Be ready at the hotel lobby during this window.
- Foods and Drinks: Not included in your tour price, but can be purchased separately while you enjoy free time at the resort.
Your experience concludes with a return to Fairbanks after enjoying either the daytime itinerary or evening Northern Lights viewing segment. You'll rejoin your vehicle for the drive back, ending with drop-off at your hotel within city limits.
