Traditionally, Sichuan opera is enjoyed in teahouses where audiences can savor delicious snacks and brewed tea while watching the performance. Shunfeng Yayun Teahouse, located near Qingyang Palace in Chengdu Cultural Park, is one of Chengdu's most prestigious teahouses.
This building is designed in the ancient Western Shu style of rural Sichuan. You will be treated to a visual feast as the highlight of the performance is the ancient Chinese theatrical art of "face-changing." Performers, dressed in vibrant costumes, dance to fast-paced, dramatic music. Their faces are concealed by colorful masks that change instantly, revealing entirely new expressions.
Different packages are available, including ear cleaning, neck and shoulder massage, Chengdu desserts, cute cultural and creative souvenirs, and costume changing. The performance allows visitors to stroll along the antique-style streets afterward and experience the love story of Sima Xiangru and Zhuo Wenjun.
The performance duration is 90 minutes. Children under 130cm in height can enter for free but will not occupy a separate seat. Visitors participating in the costume experience can enter early, with the experience time being from 15:00 to 22:00. Seats are allocated by the system on a first-come, first-served basis, and guests who purchase the same ticket at the same time will be seated together.
Dangerous items such as wine bottles, firecrackers, and lasers that may interfere with or inconvenience other spectators are prohibited from being brought into the venue. Flashlights are also prohibited inside the venue. Child seats are not provided.
These tickets can't be rescheduled or cancelled.
