Hours and Access

The ropeway operates during summer hours (April to November) from 10:30 AM to 10:00 PM, with the last ascent at 9:30 PM. Winter hours (December to March) are from 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM, also with a final ascent at 9:30 PM.

Take a priority cable car ticket for direct access to the summit, available until 11:59 AM on your visit day. This ticket allows boarding only during reserved ropeway time slots between 5:00 pm and 9:00 pm on your selected date.

Must Know

  • Please note that because this is a "Sapporo Mt. Moiwa Ropeway Upbound Priority Ticket," priority will not be given to passengers transferring to the mini cable car at the mid-way station or boarding the downbound train.
  • The service may be suspended in bad weather, so please check the website in advance.
  • Business hours are subject to change without notice. Please check the website before your visit.
  • This ticket allows you to board only the designated bus between 17:00 and 21:00 on the day of your intended use. Please be aware that we cannot exchange your ticket for a bus other than the one you designated under any circumstances due to delays or early arrivals on the day of your intended use.
  • If service is suspended due to lightning, strong winds, infectious diseases, etc., or if admission is restricted due to overcrowding within the facility, and you are unable to board the train, please contact Traviia customer service directly to request a refund.   • Tickets can only be used on the date and time you have reserved. If you wish to change the date and time after purchase, you can do so up to 90 days in advance. However, changes cannot be made after 12:00 on the day of use. Please complete the procedure yourself on this website. On the day of use, be sure to present the QR code at the ticket counter on the 4th floor of the base station 15 minutes before your time of use (the ropeway departure time) and exchange it for a boarding ticket (paper ticket).   • Please be sure to present your QR code at the ticket counter on the 4th floor of Sanroku Station at least 15 minutes before your intended use (ropeway departure time) to exchange it for a paper ticket.
