At the Fah Lanna Art Museum, you can expect more than just an exhibition—it’s an immersive journey through Chiang Mai’s history and creativity. Housed in a reimagined former tobacco factory, the museum blends its industrial heritage with imaginative design to guide you through themed environments showcasing faith, kingship, Lanna daily life, traditional textiles and crafts, historic photography, and nostalgic pop culture.
Two projection halls bring stories to life with cinematic effects, while a mirrored installation adds moments of wonder. Your visit concludes with a gallery of contemporary Thai art, linking timeless traditions with modern creativity. Last entry at 6:30 PM. The venue also features a museum shop and an on-site café and restaurant. Parents/guardians are responsible for ensuring respectful behavior and preventing children from touching artworks.
Parking is available in the designated car park in front of the building opposite the entrance. Nearby spaces belong to local residents. Restricted items include large bags/backpacks, drones, pets (except service animals), weapons, alcohol, food/drinks, selfie sticks, tripods, ring lights, and standing flashlights. Small handbags/purses are allowed.
Follow staff instructions and posted signage. Mobile phones should be on silent, and visitors are encouraged to speak quietly. The museum may refuse entry or remove disruptive guests. Personal photography without flash is allowed. Security: Guests and belongings may be screened; the museum is monitored 24/7 by CCTV.
