The Hobbiton Movie Set
Your tour starts with hotel pickup in Auckland. The bus travels towards Waikato to reach the famous Hobbiton movie set near Matamata. Spread across 1,250 acres, the site allows you to explore beautiful paths dotted with hobbit homes. You may catch sight of sheep as you walk through the grounds. Learn about the set's creation with your Hobbiton guide. Enter a furnished Hobbit hole to see how a hobbit lives. Afterward, enjoy a refreshing drink at the Green Dragon In. You will also receive a banquet lunch at the Party Marquee.
Te Puia and Cultural Performances
After Hobbiton, the group continues to Te Puia, a geothermal and cultural park in Rotorua. Look for bubbling mud pools and the impressive Pōhutu geyser. During the evening, enjoy a Māori cultural performance. This includes a Pōhiri, Waiata, Mōteatea, Poi, and Haka. A delicious Hangi dinner buffet follows at the restaurant before you are dropped at your hotel in Rotorua.
