Dress code: The Meteora monasteries follow a strict dress code; men must wear long pants and women need long skirts and shoulder coverage, with no sleeveless tops or shorts. Footwear: Opt for sturdy shoes with good grip, as paths can be uneven and include many steps. Snacks and water: Carry water and light snacks, especially during warmer months from June to August. Audio guide setup: Bring your own earphones and a fully charged phone to listen to the audio guides comfortably.
Indoor photography: While outdoor photography is generally permitted, do not take photos inside churches or of monks or nuns unless explicitly allowed. Drones: Flying drones is prohibited without special permission due to privacy concerns and wildlife protection.
