Booking FAQs

Choose sturdy, comfortable footwear suitable for extended walking, as the route includes uneven stone paths and dusty valley floors. Pack a lightweight jacket or sweater, as temperatures can change noticeably between open lookouts, shaded valleys, and underground areas during the day. Bring sun protection like a hat or sunscreen, particularly for valley viewpoints where there is little natural shade. Use a compact daypack instead of a large bag to navigate narrow underground tunnels and village walkways more comfortably. Carry some cash for small purchases in local villages or artisan workshops, as card payment options may be limited.

Large backpacks or bulky bags are not recommended, as narrow underground passages and tight spaces make them difficult to carry. Flash photography is not allowed inside cave churches and underground cities. Drones are not permitted at archaeological sites or valleys without official permission, even for personal use. Smoking is not allowed inside vehicles, underground cities, or protected historical areas during the tour. Pets are not allowed on the tour, as several locations involve confined spaces and protected heritage areas.

The tour is not suitable for wheelchair users because of uneven ground, staircases, and narrow walkways at multiple stops. Some locations feature underground passages with low ceilings and limited ventilation, which may be uncomfortable or unsafe for guests with claustrophobia or respiratory issues.

Complimentary hotel pick-up and drop-off are available from centrally located hotels in Cappadocia; hotel details must be provided during booking. Visitor traffic at the Open Air Museum peaks between 10:30am and 12:30pm, so beginning the day with valley visits can result in a quieter experience later. The itinerary sequence may be adjusted on the day of the tour to manage crowd levels or accommodate weather conditions.
