This self-guided exploration game leads you from Square Gambetta across the old bridge and up into the citadel of Carcassonne, through its ancient gates and haunted lanes to the Château Comtal, while clues reveal stories of Cathars, inquisitors and the lady who gave the city her name.


Along the way you solve challenges in the Questo app, learn historical facts and local myths, and discover hidden spots that only locals know and most tourists pass by. The walk covers about 2.2 km and takes around 1.5 hours, with no time limit.
