A 70,000γ‘ outdoor garden showcases modern sculptures, allowing visitors to stroll and appreciate the beauty of art. The museum's biggest highlight is its expansive outdoor sculpture garden, with approximately 70,000 square meters of green space offering panoramic views of the Hakone mountains and showcasing about 120 representative works by modern and contemporary sculptors.
The park also features a number of interactive art installations that visitors can experience firsthand. Notable among these is the "Forest of Nets" where children can play, and the "Symphony of Good Fortune" sculpture that visitors can climb, allowing them to not only watch but also engage with the art.
In addition to the outdoor exhibition area, the museum features several indoor exhibition spaces. The "Picasso Pavilion," which showcases over 300 world-class collections, is very popular with visitors and adds to the interactive enjoyment of the exhibition.
The facility also includes natural hot spring foot baths and restaurants, making it ideal for a half-day or full-day art-themed stroll through Hakone.
Eating and smoking are permitted only in designated areas. Gang members and related individuals, as well as those who have consumed excessive alcohol, will not be permitted entry. No sports equipment (such as balls, frisbees, skateboards/scooters, etc.) may be brought into the venue.
