Ever imagined what it would be like to fly and see the world? Well, this experience lets you do just that! It may not show you the whole world but you will fly over the Bernese Seeland and Jura region on a helicopter.
Your helicopter tour begins with you meeting a friendly staff at the Bern-Belp Airport. After the safety instructions, hop into the helicopter and get ready to soar high above the lakes and the mountains. For the next 54 minutes soak in the breathtaking views starting with the town of Biel with many gothic-style buildings, and the French-speaking district of Delémont to St. Ursanne, a town nestled in a sunny valley. Spot the many windmills that grace the land of St. Imier which is located in the French-speaking Bernese Jura and fly higher than Chasseral, the highest mountain in the Jura Mountains to Creux-du-Van, a giant natural amphitheater. All along, enjoy listening to interesting commentary by your knowledgeable and professional pilot about the region’s history, geography, and culture.
Flying just above the Creux-du-Van gives you a great view of the Bernese Alps and the whole Seeland with its three lakes. Lake Neuchâtel has a dark blue colour at this point. Adjacent to the city of Biel is also the Lake Biel with the Aare River flowing through the old town. Admire the wonderful view of Lake Murten, the smallest of the three lakes (Lake Neuchâtel and Lake Biel). A little further in the north is Vully Hill. The helicopter offers a fantastic view of the vineyards here along with the Bernese and Vaud Alps over the terrace of Mont Vully, a hilly district at the end of the Three-Lakes Region.
