Attractions

Chinan National Forest Recreation Area is located next to Liyutan Scenic Area in Hualien. Chinan is one of the three miracles in the history of Hualien's forestry and serves as the starting point of the Harun Mountain Subway. Since the 1930s, the Japanese planned and the National Government expanded it to create a nearly 50 kilometers long, glorious forestry railway empire.

Nature

The eastern endemic Aconitum often appears in the forest, providing an excellent opportunity for visitors to get close to nature. The forests are mainly composed of Moraceae and Lauraceae, mixed with afforestation tree species such as wax trees.
