Shoushan Zoo in Kaohsiung is the largest public zoo in southern Taiwan, providing multiple functions and services for families, outdoor education, ecological science popularization, and sightseeing. The zoo is divided into six zones: the Asian Zone, the American Zone, the African Zone, the Primate Zone, the Taiwanese Native Animal Zone, and the newly opened "Children's Ranch." Under the guidance of staff, visitors can get close to, touch, and feed the animals.
The park is closed on Mondays and Lunar New Year's Eve. If Monday falls on a national holiday, the park will remain open as usual.
Ride time: Each shuttle bus takes about 15 minutes. On weekdays, the bus departs when it is full; on holidays, the bus departs every 20 minutes. Children under 2 years old or infants held in arms ride for free. Hay will be distributed on site while supplies last.
