What to expect
Your first stop is Katsuo-ji Temple, the “Temple of Victory,” a historic mountain temple known for its Daruma wish ritual, where you learn the tradition of painting one eye when making a wish and the second upon fulfillment.
Continue to Arashiyama, where you walk through the famous bamboo forest,cross Togetsukyo Bridge over the Katsura River, and explore nearby cultural sites including Kimono Forest, Nonomiya Shrine, and the landscaped gardens around Tenryu-ji Temple.
