Booking FAQs

Carry a valid photo ID in case it is required at entry. Keep your mobile phone with the e-ticket ready, or bring a printed ticket. Pack essentials like a swimsuit, sunscreen, a hat, and comfortable walking shoes. Bring extra cash or a credit card for parking, dining, lockers, and upgrades.

Outside food and drinks are not allowed inside the park. Alcohol, drugs, and intoxication of any kind are strictly prohibited. Large bags, coolers, and suitcases are not permitted. Pets are not allowed, except registered service animals. Weapons, sharp items, and hazardous materials are strictly banned. Loose articles are not permitted on most rides and should be left with non-riders or secured in lockers. Cell phones, keys, wallets, or other small items must be secured in cargo pockets or zippered jacket pockets. All loose articles which cannot be secured must be left in a locker or with a non-rider prior to entering the queue.

Wheelchairs and strollers can be rented at the park, subject to availability. Certain rides may have age, height, or health restrictions. Accessible restrooms and facilities are located throughout the park. Registered service animals are allowed within the premises. Many amusement rides use manufacturer-designed safety systems built to accommodate people of average physical stature and proportion. These systems may limit the ability of some individuals to safely ride. Guests of larger or smaller size; guests with heart, back or neck conditions; pregnant guests; guests recovering from recent surgery; and guests with casts, braces, restrictive devices or certain disabilities may not be safely accommodated.

Tickets are valid only for the selected date of visit. Park hours vary by day; check the operating calendar and schedule before booking. Lockers are available for rent for storing belongings. Visit the Kings Dominion website for updated hours, ride status, and safety rules before arrival. A chaperone policy is in effect for guests age 17 and younger. Guests age 18 and older may be asked to present a valid government issued photo identification (Driver's license, State Issued ID Card, Passport) with date of birth at entry to verify their age. The property is fully cashless; cash is not accepted at the theme park, or parking toll plaza. Cash-to-Card kiosks are available throughout the property.
