The Ginger Factory has been operating for more than 40 years, extending to 9 hectares of land surrounded by beautiful lush subtropical gardens, beautiful water features, and exotic plants. It is one of the world's largest ginger factories that aims to produce a delicious large range of products such as locally made ginger sweets, drinks, spreads, and foods. The iconic Ginger Factory grounds contain boutique shops, an ice creamery, a café, and exciting rides. Some of the attractions available are the Factory Tour, Ginger Train Ride, Overboard Boat Ride, and Live Bee Show. With the Play, Taste & Discover Bundle, visitors are able to experience all that park has to offer.
On the guided tour of the Ginger Factory, guests will learn about the harvesting and processing of ginger into delicious products. On the Overboard Boat Ride, hop on with Gingerbread Man and go on a fantastic global voyage and water adventure. To learn the secrets of the honeybee, head over to Live Bee Show where beekeepers will share all you want to know about hives ending in a tasting session of different delicious types of honey. Last but not least, take the opportunity to travel in an original, 100-year-old cane train. The Ginger Factory’s “Moreton” train is a great experience and a lovely way to enjoy the themed sub-tropical gardens. At the end of this tour, you can stop by the cafe for a variety of the Sunshine Coast’s best seasonal produce, or shop for goodies ranging from sweets and baked treats to handmade dolls. Kids can even decorate their own cookies!
