What you can expect
Visit the most significant US battlefield sites of D-Day, including Omaha Beach, Pointe du Hoc and the US Cemetery in Colleville sur Mer. This tour is a perfect introduction to this period of time for those of you who have only but a short time in the area.
During this tour, you'll reach the coastal battlefield area and D-Day landing beach of Omaha Beach. Here, your guide will tell you about one of the boldest and most successful large scale invasions in military history.
Then, when accessible, you'll visit the Pointe du Hoc site, located between Utah and Omaha beaches. This prominent position along the coast of Normandy was a focal point of the assault by U.S. forces during the early morning hours of D-Day, 6 June 1944.
Arrive at the site of Pointe du Hoc. Take a walk along the cliff, surrounded by the lunar, battle-scarred landscape. Today, one can imagine the number of shells falling and leaving their print, as the grounds are dotted with the craters left by the bombardments.
- End your sightseeing tour with a stop at the Normandy American Cemetery.

- Accessibility:Unfortunately, this tour is not suitable for wheelchair users
- Know in advance:Temporary update: due to ongoing road and construction works at Pointe du Hoc, access may be limited in 2026 and 2027. If the site is closed, your guide will substitute another major US D-Day location
