The Royal Palace of Madrid, one of Western Europe's grandest royal buildings, is a must-see if you're visiting the city. The tour concludes with a visit to the Royal Armoury museum (temporarily closed), which houses the second most significant collection of royal armaments in Europe. This exhibition of luxury weapons from the House of Austria, including swords, shields, and armour, originates from the testamentary dispositions of King Felipe II and is now considered one of the jewels of Spanish historical heritage.
