What you can expect
- Walk in the footsteps of Claude Monet with this audio-guided tour of the painter's gardens in Giverny!
Get on board in central Paris for a 1.5-hour drive to reach Giverny. You'll be escorted to the entrance of the estate and given your audio guide (outdoors only). Nestled in its famous gardens, this residence is where Monet lived for the last 40 years of his life. You can immerse yourself in Monet's world as you gaze upon the many paintings on display in the rooms of the house.
Walk through the gardens and listen to the commentary on your audio guide. Stroll through the Clos Normand and its stunning paths and flower beds bursting with a thousand colors. Discover the water garden surrounded by majestic weeping willows and the Japanese bridge spanning the waterlily pond often immortalized in the artist's canvases.
In the afternoon, you will visit the Museum of Impressionism, which has one of the most beautiful collections of Impressionist works. If you have some time left, you can stroll through the little streets of the charming village of Giverny with its painters and sculptors' galleries, cafés and bakeries, and discover Monet's grave next to the little church at the end of Claude Monet's street.
