What you can expect
- Discover the Certosa of St Martino, built in 1325 at the behest of the Duke Charles of Angiò.
Tour the church, where the Order of Certosini was founded, and enjoy a peaceful stroll around the cloister of the monastery, where the monks' small cells are. The great renovation of 1590 turned the church of the Certosa into one of the largest artistic construction sites in Southern Italy. From the vault to the wonderful floor, every side chapel and every room is a priceless treasure.
