What you can expect

Discover Potsdam, Berlin's most popular day-trip destination and former retreat of Prussian royalty, located just a short train ride from the capital. This full-day adventure begins at the bike shop in Alexanderplatz, where you'll board a train for a half-hour journey to Potsdam. Upon arrival, you'll collect your bicycle and set off to explore the city's parks and palaces at a leisurely pace.

You'll make stops to admire the exterior of historical sites, including the Sanssouci Palace, Frederick the Great’s favourite residence. The tour also takes you to the Cecilienhof Palace, where Allied leaders met at the conclusion of World War II in Europe for the Potsdam Conference—an event that unexpectedly helped usher in both the nuclear age and the Cold War. For lunch, there will be a stop in Potsdam’s Dutch Quarter, where you can choose from a variety of eateries to purchase food.
