The fortress houses a myriad of exhibitions that chronicle its significant past. You'll find collections of weapons from the 1500s through to the First and Second World Wars, instruments of torture, and even a replica of Vasari's fresco depicting the Medici family's capture of San Leo. Contemporary works are also on display, adding a modern touch to the historical narrative. As you explore the fortress, you'll have the opportunity to visit the infamous cell of alchemist magician Count Cagliostro and delve into the virtual ecomuseum of San Leo.

- Remember to bring:Getting to the fortress can be quite demanding. It's strongly recommended to wear comfortable shoes
