You'll delve into the legend of Archangel Michael who, according to lore, appeared atop the mausoleum, sheathing his sword to signal the end of the plague of 590. This event bestowed upon the castle its present name. As well as this, you'll have the chance to admire the tomb of the Roman emperor Hadrian and explore the Papal corridors within the fortress.

The experience culminates with a sweeping view over Rome and the River Tiber from the castle terrace. Here, you can capture memorable photos of the Sant'Angelo Bridge, also known as the Bridge of Angels. This immersive exploration provides an unforgettable glimpse into Rome's storied past.
