What you can expect

Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997, Pompeii undoubtedly tells a fascinating chapter in the history of Ancient Rome. Here time stopped in 79AD, when the eruption of the nearby volcano Vesuvius covered the city, the buildings, the streets and its inhabitants.

You can also visit the forum, the center of political and social life in the city, and where plaster casts of the victims are exposed along with everyday objects.

This ticket also includes the visits to the suburban villas nearby Pompeii, that can be visited on the same day: Villa of the Mysteries, Villa of Diomedes, Villa Regina in Boscoreale with Antiquarium.

  • People with disabilities and one carer are admitted for free and don't need to buy a ticket. A certificate of disability might be requested by the venue
  • Guests can visit any time within the opening hours: from 1 April to 31 October - from 9.00 am to 07.00 pm (last entrance at 05.30 pm for Pompeii and at 05:30 pm for the villas) and from 1 November to 31 March 2025 - from 9.00 am to 05.00 pm (last entrance at 03:30 pm for Pompeii and at 03:30 pm for the villas)
  • Please note that children under 18 years old enter for free and don't need a ticket
