What you can expect

Step aboard a canal cruise through Amsterdam and discover the city's past and present with virtual reality. For most of the journey, you’ll drift along the canals, taking in the beauty of modern-day Amsterdam while listening to an audio guide available in Dutch or English.

At seven points along the route, you’ll slip on a VR headset and be transported back 400 years to the 17th century. Suddenly, the city comes alive as you witness the grand homes of Amsterdam’s elite, the bustling trade hub with its busy warehouses, the harbour teeming with hundreds of ships, and the vast shipyard where warships were constructed. You’ll also explore the city’s outer districts, protected by an imposing five-meter-high wall, and uncover even more hidden stories of the 17th century in Amsterdam.
