What you can expect
Your day begins with a scenic drive from Dubrovnik to Trebinje, located just across the border in Bosnia and Herzegovina. As you travel through rolling hills, olive groves, and river valleys, your guide will share insights into the region's history and culture.
Upon reaching Trebinje, you'll discover its blend of Ottoman, Venetian, and Serbian influences. The town is adorned with cobblestone streets and tranquil river views. Visit Hercegovačka Gračanica, a Serbian Orthodox church with panoramic views, and stroll through the historic old town. Here, you can admire the Arslanagić Bridge, an impressive Ottoman-era structure spanning the Trebišnjica River.
The journey continues to the Tvrdoš Monastery, a 15th-century Serbian Orthodox site surrounded by vineyards and olive groves. Here, you'll gain insights into its historical and spiritual significance while getting a glimpse of local life. Known for its wine production, Tvrdoš offers a tasting of locally made wines to enhance your experience. After visiting the monastery, there's ample time to relax or grab lunch in Trebinje before returning to Dubrovnik.
