What you can expect
Join a half-day excursion to the town of Cavtat, nestled along the Adriatic coastline. A brief stop at Park Orsula provides an opportunity to capture photographs of the old town.
Begin your exploration of Cavtat's historic sites with the 15th-century Church of St. Nicholas. As you meander through the old town, you'll come across the Racic Mausoleum, a monument crafted by the Croatian sculptor Ivan Meštrović, exemplifying distinctive Croatian architecture. If desired, you can also visit the former residence of a famous Croatian painter at Bukovac House and the Banac Gallery, home to an impressive collection of artwork including pieces from contemporary Croatian artists.
Following your tour, enjoy some free time to explore the town at your leisure. You can unwind at a local café, stroll along the waterfront, or take a refreshing swim and absorb the tranquil atmosphere. On your return journey from Cavtat, you'll make a stop to admire the panorama of the old town from Mount Srđ. Here, you have the option to delve into recent local history by visiting the Homeland War Museum.
