We are the Rocketman Lab, long-term residents of Hengchun. Over the past few years, we have walked into the alleys of the ancient town, collecting stories that were on the verge of being forgotten, and layering these memories into an audio theater experience on the road. As long as these stories continue to be heard and told, the people within them remain alive.
'Love in the Time of the Town' is the first route of PeninSOUNDla: put on your headphones and follow the guide into the old streets. You will hear women sharing past stories about the ancient town, history, and love—the sounds of once-bustling streets and the comings and goings of people from different eras. Those seemingly ordinary old buildings actually hide their own unique splendor; the scenes have not disappeared, they are just waiting for you to restore them, one by one, through sound.

- The entire experience lasts approximately 90 minutes and mainly involves an outdoor hike in the Hengchun Old Town area. Please wear suitable walking shoes and bring your own drinking water, sunscreen, or rain gear depending on the weather.
