The Sagano Romantic Train is a must-do classic experience in Arashiyama, Kyoto. The train travels along the Hozugawa River ravine, winding through valleys and forests, showcasing completely different scenery with the changing seasons.
In spring, pink cherry blossoms surround the tracks, while in autumn, the mountains are painted with vibrant red maples. Take the romantic train to leisurely explore Arashiyama and capture the natural beauty of the Kansai region.
The 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM sessions feature the popular 'Rich' Car No. 5 (open-air carriage, available for booking during the autumn foliage season). With its unique open-sided design, featuring only railings and a transparent roof, it offers a 360° view of the ravine, making it a perfect choice for photography enthusiasts.
- Important Notes for Car No. 5
The carriage has no side windows, so rain may enter during wet weather. In the event of severe weather, the operator reserves the right to suspend Car No. 5 and will arrange for seating in a standard carriage instead. Please take note of this.
