Your Experience
Experience Highlights and Flow
- Check-in and Explanation (10 minutes): Meet at Nozaki Mairi Park for an explanation of the chopstick making process, tool usage, safety precautions, and an introduction to Japanese chopstick culture.
- Material and Design Selection (20 minutes): Choose from 7 types of wood (Walnut, Mansonia, Locust, Black Walnut, Hinoki, Cherry, Zhu Cherry) and select from 5 laser-engraved patterns or have your name engraved.
- Carving and Shaping (30 minutes): Use a plane to carve the chopsticks, shaping them to fit your hand perfectly and feeling the warm texture of the wood.
- Laser Engraving (10 minutes): Use a laser to precisely engrave your chosen pattern or name.
- Lacquering and Stroll (40 minutes): Final lacquering process. While waiting, you can take a walk in the park garden or visit the 1,300-year-old Nozaki Kannon Temple (about a 5-minute walk).
- Trial and Commemorative Photos (10 minutes): Use your newly finished chopsticks for a bean-picking game to test them out and take photos.
- Furoshiki Wrapping (20 minutes): Store your finished chopsticks in the paulownia box and learn the traditional Japanese 'Furoshiki' wrapping technique to take them home in style.
※ 'FUROSHIKI' is a traditional Japanese cloth used for wrapping and carrying items since ancient times. Today, Furoshiki is valued for being eco-friendly and reusable, making it a practical tool for sustainable living.

- Lunch is not included in the activity fee.
- Please be sure to arrive on time.
- Food and drinks are allowed in the venue, but there are no shops or vending machines on-site.
- Once the order is confirmed, you can cancel for free up to 24 hours before the activity starts. Cancellations made after 24 hours before the activity starts will incur a 100% cancellation fee of the total order amount.
