Getting started
Begin your experience at Rental Kimono Okamoto at 9:00am. Browse more than 300 men's kimono styles, with sizes available from 155 cm to 190 cm. Choose your preferred kimono, then complete your look with an obi belt and traditional drawstring bag. Professional staff will dress you in your selected kimono, getting you ready to begin sightseeing around 9:30am.
What to expect

Make your way towards the historic Kiyomizu-dera area and wander through Kyoto’s traditional streets. The charming surroundings provide a scenic backdrop for exploring the city in your kimono.

Around midday, take a break at a local restaurant. Enjoy Japanese cuisine, traditional sweets, or refreshing matcha at your own expense.

Continue through the stone-paved streets of Ninenzaka and Sannenzaka, two of Kyoto’s most atmospheric areas. Browse local shops, take photos, and enjoy the traditional surroundings in your kimono.

With your rental available throughout the day, you have the flexibility to explore Kyoto at your own pace while dressed in traditional Japanese clothing. Free luggage storage is available during your rental.
Return to Rental Kimono Okamoto by 5:50pm to change out of your kimono and complete your rental experience.
