Madame Tussauds Shanghai, the sixth Madame Tussauds wax museum in the world and the first in mainland China, is also the largest Madame Tussauds wax museum in Asia, covering an area of nearly 9,000 square meters. It opened on May 1, 2006, and is a 4A-level scenic spot in China.
The museum exhibits nearly 100 lifelike wax figures of celebrities, including Jackie Chan, Yao Ming, Liu Xiang, William Chan, Yang Yang, Sun Li, Yang Mi, TFBOYS, Zhu Yilong, Li Yuchun, David Beckham, and Audrey Hepburn. It also features the world's first robot wax figure—actors Jing Boran and Huba from the movie *Monster Hunt*.
In addition, Madame Tussauds Shanghai has partnered with Marvel to create a major upgrade experience – the "Marvel Superhero Zone." Here, Marvel superheroes reunite to offer an immersive adventure for visitors.
