The Michinoku Date Masamune Historical Museum offers an engaging experience with 25 breathtaking scenes brought to life by over 200 life-sized wax figures. Photography is allowed inside the museum, allowing you to take lots of commemorative photos with the wax figures.
Can you hear the voice of Lord Date Masamune? Inside the museum, you can hear a voice reconstructed from the remains of Lord Masamune. This unique feature adds an immersive element to your visit.
The average tour takes approximately 30 to 40 minutes. As it is a completely indoor facility, you can enjoy it regardless of the weather. There are viewing areas on the 1st and 2nd floors. To go up to the 2nd floor, you can use the stairs or a seated lift is available for customers with mobility issues. Note that there are no escalators or elevators.
In addition to the automated audio guide, explanatory texts in English and Chinese are also available at 25 exhibition scenes within the museum, ensuring accessibility for international visitors.
