In addition to permanent exhibitions, it provides a variety of programs, including talk events and workshops, to encourage reflection and discussion about the future we will create. The museum is closed on Tuesdays but open on specific dates in 2026: April 28th, May 5th, July 21st, July 28th, August 4th, August 11th, August 18th, August 25th, and September 22nd.
The National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation (Miraikan) will be closed from October 1, 2026 to April 22, 2027. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. The facility may be temporarily closed on certain days for maintenance. Admission to the dome theater and special exhibitions is subject to separate charges.
Those with a disability certificate, benefit recipient certificate, or other proof of disability are admitted free of charge, along with one accompanying person. Children aged 6 and under (preschoolers) are admitted free of charge. Admission is free for those under 18 on Saturdays.
