Your private guide will meet you at your hotel or apartment in Barcelona to begin this unforgettable Montserrat day tour from Barcelona. Together you will head to the train station by public transport, where you will take the train and enjoy the scenic Catalan countryside on your way to Monistrol de Montserrat, located at the base of the mountain.

From there, you will ride the Montserrat Cable Car to reach the famous Santa Maria de Montserrat Abbey, one of the most important pilgrimage sites in Catalonia. From this spectacular viewpoint, you will be able to take incredible panoramic photos of the unique Montserrat landscape.

During the visit, you will explore the Basilica of Montserrat and see the revered Virgin of Montserrat, also known as La Moreneta, a 12th-century wooden statue and the patron saint of Catalonia. After the cultural visit, you will have the option to enjoy a short hike to a breathtaking viewpoint about 25 minutes from the monastery, perfect for taking in the natural beauty of Montserrat, or watch an audiovisual presentation about the daily life of the Benedictine monks who live there.
