The cruise departs from Mandurah Cruises Jetty at Mandjar Square mid-morning aboard the twin-level Dancing Dolphin catamaran. Morning tea is served as the boat crosses the Peel Inlet, with an antipasto charcuterie board following as the route continues past the RAMSAR-listed Creery Wetlands, one of the region's most significant birdlife habitats. A local expert guide provides live commentary throughout on the area's history, ecology, and wildlife.
Crossing the Peel Estuary, the cruise enters the Murray River, WA's longest permanent river in the Jarrah Forest and one of the few major rivers in Australia that remains undammed. The route continues upstream to the Murray River Bridge at Forrest Highway. The 2-course buffet lunch is served while cruising the cottage-lined river.
On the return, the boat passes through Port Mandurah's canal waterways before arriving back at the jetty. Bingo with prizes runs on the return leg, with board games and books available throughout. Mandurah's bottlenose dolphins are frequently spotted along the route, particularly while crossing the estuary.
Total duration is approximately 4.5 hours.
