  • Sun Moon Lake Ropeway e-tickets are valid for one round trip per person on the same day.
  • This ticket is for cable car ride only and does not include admission to the Formosan Aboriginal Cultural Village.
  • Passengers are only permitted to enter and board the train at the Ita Thao Sun Moon Lake Main Station and are not allowed to enter through the Formosan Aboriginal Cultural Village Station.

  • The cable car is closed for maintenance on the first Wednesday of each month. If annual major maintenance is required, additional closure dates will be announced. [ Click here to view ]
  • Operating hours may be extended to accommodate large-scale events (such as cherry blossom festivals). Operating hours may also be adjusted due to weather conditions, power outages, system maintenance, or other unforeseen circumstances.
  • Seasonal thunderstorms are common in the Sun Moon Lake area. For visitor safety, this facility will be closed when there is a risk of lightning strikes. We recommend checking the official Sun Moon Lake Ropeway website or calling ahead to confirm closure status before boarding.

  • Redemption method: Please bring your electronic voucher (QR Code) to the self-service ticket machine at the service counter on the 2nd floor of the Sun Moon Lake Ropeway Station to redeem a physical ticket. Then, bring your physical ticket to the gate on the 3rd floor of the Sun Moon Lake Ropeway to scan the QR Code and ride the Sun Moon Lake Ropeway.

Sun Moon Lake Cruise

  • Present your electronic voucher (QR code) at the ferry terminal (Shuishe Ferry Terminal). Staff will scan the QR code for verification, and you can then exchange it for a physical paper ticket to board the ferry at the designated terminal.

  • Please keep your boarding ticket safe. You will need to show your ticket for inspection when boarding the ship. If you lose your ticket, you will need to buy a replacement ticket. No replacement tickets will be issued.

  • Redemption method: Present your electronic voucher (QR Code) at any of the stores listed below to redeem a car rental. The staff will scan the QR Code for verification before you can use the voucher.
    Safe Cycling: No. 149, Zhongshan Road, Shuishe Village, Yuchi Township, Nantou County (1-minute walk from Shuishe Visitor Center)
    Rides available at: No. 19, Zhongxing Road, Shuishe Village, Yuchi Township, Nantou County (opposite Zhongxing Parking Lot, next to 7-Eleven).
  • This product is for a specific vehicle model. If you wish to select another vehicle model, you may need to pay the difference in cash.
  • Service hours: 07:00-18:00 daily. Each rental period is for the entire day. Please refer to the store's announcement for the business hours.
