The Manyueyuan Experience
Set roughly 40 minutes from Sanxia City, this area ranges from 300 to 1700 meters in elevation. You will find dense fern ecosystems and powerful waterfalls like Manyueyuan and Virgin Waterfall.
On bright days, light refracting through the mist creates rainbow effects near the falls. The cool, humid climate supports varied plant and animal life throughout the year.
The Dongyanshan Adventure
History enthusiasts can explore forestry relics left from the site's time as a logging camp. The journey takes you through misty Japanese cedar forests toward the 1,212-meter summit.
From the top, you gain wide views stretching toward Taoyuan and Greater Taipei. Around 43 mountain bird species live here alongside mammals like the white-faced flying squirrel.
Trail Information
The Dongman Trail offers a comfortable hiking route that remains accessible in all seasons. Please note that the Manyueyuan area closes on February 10th for trail restoration work.
